Booking and Payment

Any telephone booking will be provisional and held for ten days, pending receipt of the booking form and a 20% deposit. The balance of the rental fee is payable no later than 8 weeks prior to departure.

Full payment will be required at time of booking, when the booking is made with less than 8 weeks to go.

Written confirmation of your booking and all receipts will be sent as soon as possible. Please make your cheque payable to P C & E Wilton.

Security deposits

A security deposit of $250/£150 is requested with each booking. This can be in the form of a cheque that will not be cashed but returned to you within 4 weeks of your departure or by providing a credit card number. This again will not be charged to your card. We will only make any charge to you, should the house not be found in a satisfactory condition at the end of your stay.

The guest understands and accepts the security deposit requirements and authorises the owner or Manager to charge them for any losses or expenses caused by themselves or any member of  their party. An itemised statement shall be forwarded to the guest at their home address within 30 days of their departure.

Health and safety

The property has its own private pool. The guest understands and accepts responsibility for the health and safety of their party whilst staying in a property and also that damage to the property during this time maybe charged to them. The guest further understands that it is a major condition of a reservation that the use of the swimming pool is entirely at their own risk. If there are children in the party, that they will not use the pool without adult supervision and the guest understands and accepts that neither the owner of the property or the Management Company are responsible in any way for any accident or illness suffered by any member of their party whilst staying in the property.

Amendments

If after booking you decide to alter any details, we will do our utmost to make the change requested. Alterations requested within 8 weeks of departure may have to be treated as a cancellation.

Cancellations

If the balance of the holiday is not paid by the prescribed time, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. In the event of the client cancelling the booking after the booking has been confirmed, the deposit will be forfeited. Thereafter cancellation charges within 42 to 29 days of departure will be 50% of the rental, 28 days to departure 100% of the rental. We strongly recommend that you take out Insurance Cover to protect against cancellation.

Insurance

All clients are required to have adequate Insurance Cover in force for the entire period of rental. This you will need to arrange through a reputable insurance company.

Force Majeure

We can accept no responsibility for, and shall not be liable in respect of loss or changes caused by force majeure e.g. Strikes, Fire, Flood, Closure of Airports, Weather Conditions, War, Riots, Terrorist Activity or any other event beyond our control.

Liability

We cannot accept liability for acts of omissions of or changes of third parties, such as Airlines, Car Hire companies etc. We can neither accept responsibility or liability for any accident, injury or illness sustained during your rental period, regardless of how it may occur.

Arrival and Departure Times

Access to the house is NOT permitted until 16:00 on the day of your arrival.  Other guests are likely to be departing on the same day you arrive and the full time is needed to clean the house ready for your arrival.  If you let yourself into the house PRIOR to the 16:00 check-in time on the day of your arrival (without prior permission from the villa owner), you WILL be charged an additional nights rental.

With regards to the departure date you MUST vacate the house on the departure date by 10:00.  Guests are arriving in the afternoon, so the departure time is NOT flexible, the cleaners will be on the doorstep at 10:05; please ensure you have left the house by 10:00.  The access times are part of the house rental contract and guests are legally obligated to abide by them.
